Welcome to Sixth Grade World Cultures!

My name is Ms. Fajkowski and I'll be teaching you World Cultures this year. What is world cultures?, you may ask.  This year we are going to learn about different people from all over the world!  We will see how people from different places are similar and different to us: what clothes they wear, what they eat, what they do for fun, what their traditions are, and more. We will also learn about the land from which these people come: deserts, rainforests, mountains, cities, and more!

I'm excited to work with all of you this year! This is my first year teaching sixth grade world cultures at PHMS. The past four years I have taught seventh grade world cultures here at PHMS and have loved it! Learning about people and their environments is something I love to do. I love traveling to places around the world and have been lucky to see many places: Australia, New Zealand, Peru, Honduras, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Belize, Mexico, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, England, Scotland, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Monaco, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Germany,  Greece, Iceland, and Morocco. I just booked my flight to Kenya over Spring Break!!
